Enrichment and Engagement
with Education

Enrichment programmes support the development of positive relationships and children’s re-engagement with learning that are essential in supporting them towards a positive future.

Our high-quality creative arts enrichment and Personal and Social Development (PSD) programmes and courses support children’s health and wellbeing, help to develop their self-knowledge and self-confidence, improve interpersonal skills and relationships, and ultimately help to improve lives. Importantly, they provide a positive and enjoyable learning experience that can help engage children with education.

We provide innovative, inclusive, specialist programmes, courses and events, delivered by our specialist, passionate and committed team. Our approach strengthens bonds with families, friends and significant others wherever possible and we promote inclusive, collaborative learning.

Our arts programmes, sports programmes, courses, initiatives and opportunities for children include a unique collaboration with the Tate’s Tate Exchange programme and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme, as well as drama, literature and other programmes delivered in partnership with national, regional and local organisations and charities across the country.

All Novus Engagement and Enrichment provision is designed and delivered to support and enhance educational, training and employment attainment and create the foundations to support children towards a positive future.

Learners at HMYOI Werrington complete their Duke of Edinburgh Certificate of Achievement

HMYOI Werrington is just one of a number of Novus sites in the Young People’s Estate where learners are able to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.

Novus colleagues across the Young People’s Estate have undergone training with the Duke of Edinburgh Award team to enable them to support their learners to achieve the award.
