Call for Partners
We have been helping prisoners to change their lives through the provision of high-quality education, training and employment support for 30 years. By seamlessly integrating enrichment, engagement, and support within prisons, our proven approach optimises the likelihood of ex-offenders successfully transitioning into the workforce upon their release. We work in partnership with national and devolved governments, HMPPS and HMPPS Wales, LEPs, NHS trusts, charities, employers, local/combined authorities and offenders to create foundations for change, both for individuals and for our communities.
We are the largest provider of prisoner education in the UK, engaging up-to 60,000 learners and working in 51 prisons across the North-West, North-East, Yorkshire and Humber, West Midlands, East Midlands, London and Wales and have extensive expertise of providing support to individuals to enable them to achieve their potential. This includes information, advice and guidance services; support for vulnerable individuals and individuals with Special Education Needs (SEN); and Through-the-Gate and community-based services.

Novus is seeking to build a register of potential delivery partner organisations, social enterprises, SMEs and national/local charities of all sizes, who align with our values and can provide support services and add value to our provision within prison and within the community. We also intend to use this register to approach potential partners to support the upcoming HMPPS Prison Education Services.
HMPPS Prison Education Services will be the successor contract to the Prison Education Framework. The aims of this new contract will be to support and provide prisoners with the skills and qualifications required to undertake employment and/or other opportunities (for example further training and qualifications, apprenticeships etc) upon release.
The procurement process is scheduled to begin in late Summer 2023, so the deadline for submitting your interest as a partner is 5pm on the 4th September 2023.
