TeacherMatic in action

TeacherMatic is a comprehensive set of tools designed to support teaching colleagues. It includes a wide range of AI generators that help teachers create a variety of materials; everything from lesson plans and quizzes to learning activities and schemes of work, helping to save planning time and maximising classroom time.
We have been testing the platform across a number of our sites and it has been a real success. One of our colleagues, Alison Brown has been using TeacherMatic to help support her learners and colleagues.
As a teacher, Alison uses TeacherMatic in a number of different ways to refresh lessons and to also create multiple choice questions. Which she then transfers to other digital tools such as Wordwall a resource creation tool, allowing users to create fun and engaging interactive and printable resources based on information they provide or Triptico an interactive teaching tool designed to enhance engagement and make learning fun.
Alison does this to:
- Introduce new topics
- Check learning
- Teach key topics that develop Cultural Capital, British Values and E&D
- Generate awareness of Extremism and Radicalisation in the Prison Community.
Additionally, she works with ChatBot to give learners a live experience of interacting with AI i.e., asking learners for a question regarding their graphics course, such as 'what font would be best for a particular audience', how to approach design and demonstrating how to use correct prompts live to get the best response:
'I am working as a graphic designer and my client has requested a chocolate bar wrapper design. The target marker is higher end and middle priced, what colours will I use? What fonts may be suitable?'
Alison also uses ChatBot alongside use of existing tools like Britannica, to help learners with research again, using prompt craft. Despite Alison having to type into prompt craft, learners are still benefiting from the exercise as they are acquiring communication skills and valuable knowledge about AI and how to use it.
As a manager, Alison has also demonstrated to other tutors how TeacherMatic can aid them in the development areas such as in their Evaluation of Teaching, Learning and Assessment based on planning and refreshing teaching resources. She has also used TeacherMatic to assist the Reading Group in generating a rubric to link with the progress tracker for when a learner hits emerging, developing or mastery.
Alison also uses TeacherMatic in her role as Virtual Campus Digital Champions (VCDCs). She recently demonstrated at a training session how TeacherMatic can support teachers in searching for strategies to assist with learning difficulties and disabilities or to create PowerPoint presentations specific to their course.
This has been received particularly well as it is an area for development from Oftsed and the trainers went away to try the software feeling like they had a support tool to assist in making a start.
Alison has been able to utilise TeacherMatic in all aspects of her job role to support both learners and colleagues with fantastic results!
