Novus Earns London Prison Contract
Adult Provision
Novus has strengthened its position as the leading provider of prison learning and skills with the start of its Offenders’ Learning and Skills Service (OLASS) contract in London.
The contract covers 13 prisons and almost 600 employees – expanding Novus’s reach. The organisation already operates across the North East, North West, Kent, Sussex, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire regions.
Working in partnership with the Skills Funding Agency and National Offender Management Service, Novus will focus the London prison curriculum on local employment needs and the skills shortage priorities identified by the Greater London Authority. It will seek improvements by sharing best practice from working with offenders across the country.
Peter Cox, Managing Director of Novus, said: “The London prisons are a major addition to our contracts. We have a strong track record of delivering high quality, relevant education and training in secure settings which we’ll utilise to make a real impact on the quality of offender learning in the capital."
