Novus to Deliver Prison Education at HMP Forest Bank

Novus Transforming Lives (NTL) has been appointed to deliver education provision at HMP Forest Bank in Salford, Greater Manchester, strengthening Novus’ role as a leading provider of prison education in England and Wales.
NTL is a subsidiary of the LTE Group and part of the Novus family, the largest national provider of prison education. Working in partnership with prison operator Sodexo, NTL will support learners in the privately operated prison to develop essential skills, gain recognised qualifications, and prepare for progression into employment or further learning. The new contract will commence today, 20 January 2026.
High-Quality Prison Education Focused on Rehabilitation
The education provision at HMP Forest Bank will focus on high-quality, learner-centred education that supports personal development, employability, and positive resettlement outcomes. Novus Transforming Lives will work closely within the prison to ensure learning opportunities are accessible, relevant, and aligned with the needs of both learners and employers.
Education will play a key role in helping individuals build confidence, develop practical skills, and create realistic pathways for life beyond custody.
Expanding the Reach of Novus Transforming Lives
HMP Forest Bank is the second education contract awarded to Novus Transforming Lives, which already delivers prison education at HMP Lowdham Grange. This work sits alongside Novus’ role as a core provider within the Prisoner Education Service (PES) contract.
Through PES, Novus delivers education across all public sector prisons in the North of England, supporting thousands of learners each year to improve their skills and future prospects.
