Careers event gives people chance to change lives
Novus has a dedicated team of 3,000 colleagues operating in custodial and community settings across the UK.
They deliver education, training and employability services to more than 65,000 offenders annually, helping children, young people and adults to gain the skills and qualifications they need in order to secure employment upon release.
Novus is committed to further strengthening its team and, to that end, is holding an Offender Learning Careers Open Day on Tuesday, September 27th.
The event takes place at HMP Send and is split into two sessions – one running from 10am to noon, the second from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Novus is looking to recruit sessional tutors and trainers to join the Education departments at HMP Send, HMP Downview and HMP Feltham.
Holding the event at HMP Send gives people the opportunity to view prison facilities. It is also a chance for candidates to find out about the exciting opportunities and benefits a career in offender learning can offer.
A variety of part time roles are available, including Functional Skills English, Functional Skills Maths, ICT and Business Administration.
